Programme Modules
Week 1: Understanding your ADHD brain
In our introductory session we’ll learn all about the role of your brain’s executive functioning in ADHD and explore the neuroscience behind behaviour change. You’ll discover your own unique executive functioning profile, identifying your strengths along with the areas you’d most like to target
Week 2: Organisation & habits that stick
In week 2 we’ll begin to tackle the overwhelm around organisation. We ADHDers can be really great at coming up with creative systems, but then find it impossible to maintain them! We’re going to use what we learned about the brain in session one to help us build habits that stick.
Week 3: Maximising sleep, energy & wellbeing
In week 3 we’re going to explore the issues around sleep, energy and wellbeing that often crop up for ADHDers. We’ll look at how these things affect our ADHD traits and how even small changes can have a big beneficial impact on our symptoms and mood. Let’s kick that ‘revenge bedtime procrastination’ into touch!
Week 4: Demand avoidance, procrastination & task initiation
In week 4 we’ll delve into demand avoidance. We’ll identify exactly where and why we get stuck on starting a task or seeing it through, and we’ll start to find ways around those mental blocks.
Week 5: Impulsivity & emotional regulation
In week 5 we’ll be looking into the hyperactive-impulsive presentation of ADHD and what might trigger our own impulsivity or emotional dysregulation. Whether we struggle with impulse buying, impatience or saying things we might regret, we’ll think about what we can do to increase our self-awareness and take that step back from boiling point.
Week 6: Supercharging your self-advocacy & self-esteem
In our final week we’ll pull together everything we’ve discovered about ourselves and explore how we’re going to build upon all the positive changes we’ve made already. We’ll discuss how we can talk about our needs and learn how to be brilliant ADHD advocates – both for ourselves and others.
“Judith helped me understand and accept my recent ADHD diagnosis. Together we developed strategies to help me cope with life’s demands.”
